Hayley Maria has been a glass artist for over 20 years, starting with stained glass for a decade, that wasn’t enough for someone who is glass obsessed, fusing and casting was very satisfying but the ultimate in glass in her opinion is glass blowing and sculpting which led to training in Whanganui in glass blowing, selling out her entire end of year exhibition was all the encouragement she needed to pursue a career in Glass.
Shortly after graduating Hayley invited Martin Janecky from the Czech Republic to NZ and had a successful tour and workshop with Martin known as one of the world’s greatest contemporary glass blowers.
